Americans Taking Trips At New High

The vacation timeshare resale business is one that is very resistant to recession. One of the last things people are willing give up is vacationing. I was so confident of this that I never gave a business slow down a second thought. Until 9/11. When airline travel came to a sudden and dramatic stop, so did my business for a while.

But, fortunately that time in our lives has moved on and our website at www.alltimeshare.com is buzzing once again:

The percentage of adult Americans who have taken at least one overnight trip of more than 75 miles from home has risen to the highest level observed since 1999 according to the Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell/Yankelovich Partners 2005 National Leisure Travel Monitor.

According to this closely-watched barometer of the travel habits, preferences and intentions of Americans, fully 58% of American adults took such a trip during the past 12 months (up from 49% last year), of which one third took at least one trip primarily for business and 93% took at least one trip primarily for pleasure.

Vacation timeshare is booming again, and having experienced both sides of the business cycle, I must say that I prefer the UP side!
